If you don't have a second "primary", yes, do as you stated. It sounds like you don't have a carboy - is either of your containers clear? Clear will help a lot if you're using fining agents, so you can see when it truly has fallen clear.
Remember, too, that cold temp will help drop the yeast out so you can rack the beer off the yeast and start out with less yeast for the finings to work on. (hope you understood that last part).
