Anyone know what kind of hops grow wild in Ukraine? They grow on my wife's family property and am looking to bring some back next visit. Not sure what rules are on that, but will try. May try to get someone to pick some this fall and ship them to me.

Thanks

You might want to take a look at some of the rules before you bring something back. Sometimes unintended 'things' are transported along with the imported material which can cause US problems: http://www.aphis.usda.gov/import_exp...plant_imports/

I do intended to follow any rules. Thank you for the link. Most of my Family is involved in agriculture, would hate to be the cause of some new problem.

jurassic park, no; but he could potentially bring back a disease that we don't currently have here. let us know what you find out.

has anyone tried making beer with these hops? they might be awesome, or they might taste awful... would be worth investigating before investing the time and money required to grow up plants at home. that is, of course, unless you're OK with having them around for just nostalgic/aesthetic/etc purposes.
