Default Regulator Question

Iam just starting to put together all the stuff i need to start kegging. Iam looking at co2 regulators and i see some for sale with 3/8" O.D. Outlet Barb and some with 5/16". I plan on just running one keg to start.

Besides ones bigger than the other whats the difference in using 3/8 or 5/16 ??

None whatsoever. Either can handle the gas volume for a dozen cornies. I clamp all of my connections anyway, I don't trust barbs.

I was told the 3/8" was the soda industry standard. I found this out after I bought my 3/8" manifold and 5/16" ball lock disconnects. They both work.
