Default Mixing/Stirring isenglass into secondary?

I've read its not a good idea to aerate the beer at all in the secondary, but it says to thoroughly stir in isenglass finings? Is this a good idea?

Yes, sir, it is. Just don't stir so violently as to admit air into the fermented beer. Cheer, and good beer to you........
