Default Growing hops without trellis

Hey guys, I have a very hilly and rocky back yard with many natural terraces. I have ivy ground cover all over the rocks and hills and wondered if you guys thought it would be possible to use hops as a ground cover that would hang over the rocky sunny terraces if I took out the ivy. Of course ill ise for berr brewing as well.

Hops do better growing vertically. You might get some ground cover, however I wouldn't expect to get many cones. Also, the plants are going to be susceptible to growing mold and fungus.
