Default Microscope for yeast

So I'm just finishing up Jamil's Yeast book and I am so amped to start counting and plating yeast it's not even funny. Can anyone recommend a descent quality microscope that won't break the bank? If not a specific scope perhaps specs of one that would do the job (magnification/lenses etc.)? Thanks

I'm wondering the same question.

you're welcome.

I wrote this article well after the excitement of having a cool new piece of brewlab equipment has worn off and it should be fairly objective when it comes to the pro and con of owning a microscope.
