Default corked part of the first try

I corked the straight Honey and Black Berry mead. not knowing what to expect the straight mead is bland, very little tast and on the dry side. the
Black Berry is better but still a little bland.

Looks like your corker needs a little adjustment, with them sticking out the tops like that they are more likely to fail. How did you make a bland blackberry? If you posted your recipe you might get more help. WVMJ
