Hi Chaps,

My first batch (in 20 years) is finally ready to bootle

I have read it is best to chill the wort after fermentation is finished, in order to clear the it prior to bottling.

How long do I chill it for, Hours? Days?

Any advice greatly appreciated

Thank you

If you aren't worried about clarity, skip it.

Otherwise, the colder and longer the better. Just keep it above freezing and realize that while two hours is way better than one and two days is much better than one day, 10 days is little better than 9. As with most processes, you start to hit decreasing gains after a couple days.

Good luck.

Thank you,

I will give it till the end of the weekend and bottle Sunday

Than leave it a month in the bottle

Thank you again
