Any thoughts on this IIPA All Grain Recipe? (EDITED)

I think I'd maybe up the carapils to 1/2 - 1 lb. I would revamp your hop schedule a bit too. I think your bittering addition is a bit heavy and you're a little light in the flavor additions. I would add a few ounces of something around 10-15 min to boost the hop flavor

That's an extract recipe, not all grain?

If it's extract, I'd replace some of the extract with corn sugar to lighten the body and have it finish a bit drier. Cut some of the crystal- with the crystal 80L, 40L, and carapils, it's too much. I'd cut the 80L out completely, and probably the carapils also.

With that much warrior, it'll be bitter. Like take the enamel off of your teeth bitter, with the FWH chinook (and how do you FWH an extract batch?). There are too many bittering hops, and not enough flavor and aroma hops. I'd spread them out a little, and reduce the bittering charges. I'd also never do a 90 minute boil for an extract batch.

I'd hop more like this:
Warrior Pellets 1 oz @ 60 mins (or to around 40 IBUs with this addition)
1 oz chinook at 15 minutes
1 oz collumbus at 10 minutes
1 oz simcoe at 5 minutes
1 oz centennial flame out
1 oz chinook flame out
dryhop with any of the above (3 ounces)

I agree with Yooper 100% on taking out Crystal 80 and Carapils completely. IIPA is about showcasing hops. Also agree with corn sugar. 1 pound should do. Nice gravity boost. Yooper also gives a good example of a decent hop schedule. Taking that hop schedule, and the fact that you intended on FWH'ing, maybe FWH with .75 oz Centennial. Should give you a total around 100 IBU.

Toss the C80, simplify your early bittering schedule, and make a starter with healthy Cali ale liquid yeast.

Is that how your system actually works, or are you guesstimating? That's almost a 50% loss from kettle start to bottle!! For all of that work, I would shoot for 5.0 to 5.5 gallons bottled. This shouldn't be impossible if your start boil volume is over 8 gallons.

I don't see 1.6% carapils doing much for you. For the sake of 2-3% less crystal, why don't you add 2-3% more carapils? It will give you some body without the toasty caramel sweetness. Thinning an IIPA from 1.082 down to 1.013 or less will require some body so it doesn't feel so lifeless.

Lastly, move early Chinook to 45 or 30 and use your Warrior at 90. Your recipe seems to be based on 90 minutes anyway. Chinook has more character, and Warrior has better bittering potential. You'll need those extra IBUs with 1.082 OG. I would also skip FWH and go with a huge 2-3 oz. bitter. A mere 1/2 oz. FWH is going to do nothing for this beer. This is a big beer. I would boost the dryhop to = 1 oz. dryhops per gallon of beer.
