Anyone have success lagering a high abv beer below freezing without breaking a carboy?

I would try no such thing. are you trying to freeze concentrate?

I should clarify: I would try no such thing in glass.

no im doing a duvel clone and the recipe calls for a lagering below 32 for 3 weeks..I can just lager at 33-35 but duvel calls for 27 or below freezing so i picked 29

Well, in theory, it should freeze at 24 degrees. But that's in theory, and not in glass in my fridge! I'd definitely try to keep it at 32 degrees, just in case!

Yeah thats a safe bet..im sure the 1388 will floc at 32..thank you
