Hi I am trying to put together a recipe using a can of mr beer american classic light that I have laying around. I know the hopville beer calculus has some mr beer cans in its database but not the one I have and it doesn't calculate any ibus for the can even though it is HME. I'm just trying To add in 1 lb candi syrup ( and a lb of extra light DME and going to add in .5 oz saaz hops to help balance it out but wanted to plug it into a calculator in order to see what it would look like. Any ideas on a calculator or a way that I can figure out the OG, BU:GU, ABV would be? Also do you think this would thin the beer out to much? Would adding a small amount of maltodextrin help to lessen that effect?

Plug it all into BrewTarget. It's a free program:
Primary #1 - Midnight Ryeder (Midnight Wheat and Rye)
Primary #2 - Florida Weiss
Primary #3 - Kane-DOH APA (Honey Citra APA)
Secondary #1 - Downtown Flanders Brown (brewed August 2012)
Keg #1 - Raspberry Florida Weiss
Keg #2 - Cinnamon Raisin Cider
Keg #3 - NONE!
Bottled - NONE!
