Can I use Dry Wine Yeast -Syrah in some stout beer I was wanting to brew today?

I really doubt that this would be a good idea.

Well, it would be a shame to go through all the effort and ingredients and it not be good. Do you have a brew store close?

I'm pretty sure brewer's yeast is called such because it can ferment maltose, which is a major portion of the fermentable sugars in wort. I don't think wine yeast has the same capability.

nearest one is about 2 hours away... we live in the middle of nowhere...
