I agree with all the previous items. Camlocks are great with the possible exceptions of the type Cs which WILL restrict flow.
-You don't want that restriction on the inlet of your pumps but it's not such an issue on the outlet.

One benefit of triclamps vs. Camlocks is that they are less likely to leak in air under suction; I went with a triclamp for my mashtun's out for a number of reasons but one consideration was certainly reducing the likelihood that under suction during recirculation I wouldn't pull in any air and end up creating cavitation in my pump.

On the cold side / fermentation side the TC's reign supreme as the sanitary option, too; IMHO and based upon the choice in professional settings.

For camlocks the Males ( A, E, F and Dust plugs) interconnect with the females (B, C, D and dust caps)

Would you put camlocks on every tube connection in your setup? Right now i'm looking at 12 camlocks along with 8 type A and 4 type F parts. Along with 4 ball valves(one on each pump and two at the recirc/sparge arm).

The cost is really adding up.

Yes, I have recently started using camlocks vs polysulfone QDs. Sometime this year, I plan to convert the remainder of the polysulfone QDs to camlocks. The only downside is the heat transfer/loss and the possibility of burns if gloves are worn when handling the camlocks.

Honestly, gloves should be worn whenever you approach the brewstand.
