I'm thinking of scouting a cheap Ebay pressure gauge and attaching a gas in disconnect to it. I figure I can read the gauge, pop off the disconnect, connect it to the keg to verify current pressure. I'd have to be fast if the beer is still carbing, but once it's equalized, it should read accurately. I think my reg gauges are reading 2-4 psi too low.

Welcome to I love you.

Why not just mount the gauge to your gas manifold?

I kegged a weizenbock and the tables call for a CO2 vol of 4.2. In my 45 deg kegerator that's 34.5psi and 12' 1" of 3/16" tubing!! So far all I get is foam. Guess I'll try backing off the pressure until the foam stops and just take whatever the final CO2 vol ends up being.
