Anyone else has an opinion on Herms or Rims? Which do you use and why? If you had to do it over again would you?

Ended up going with the 20 gallon setup. I also decided to go HERMS. After a TON of reading up, I just feel that HERMS is the way to go for me.

Was looking at burners and decided to go with Blichmanns. I was looking at the Banjo burners as well, but I hear that the Blichmanns are much much quieter and according the Blichmanns website, their burner heat faster/more efficently anways.

Only things left to get is a fridge for the conical, some type of heater to put in the fridge (any suggestions???) and some ingredients so I can make some beer!!

Awesome! I got my kettles Tuesday and I was also thinking about going with the blichmann burners. I still haven't bought the conical but I was thinking of my first few batches I'll split them into multiple carboys and experiment with different yeast, hops, etc...

Anyways I can't wait to see your system when it's up and running!

A lightbulb works great. I just hang one of those shop lights in there.

Nice! When are you brewing next? That's a good idea splitting the batches up and experimenting. I was going to do the same thing as well. Once I got the recipe the way I want it, then I'll make a big batch.

As soon as I get it all setup I'll be posting pics!

Ah I like the simplicity of that! About how much temp will that raise it? I am going to have my conical and fridge in my garage (insulated but unheated). I am worried it may not hold the temps.

Probably won't be brewing on my new system for at least a month but I'll probably brew again this upcoming weekend. Still need to order the odds and ends for this build. Glad you went with the herms, seems like a good route.

Looking good, my conical should be here this week. Waiting for nicer weather to tackle the welding on the frame.
