I've brewed about 10 5 gallon batches so I'm still a bit new. Doing an all grain Irish red I usually ferment at 68 degrees. However, due to snow storm, my electricity went off for two days causing my ferment temp to go down to 48 degrees. Now that the electricity is back on it is heating back up to 68 degrees where I will maintain it as usual.
What can I expect from this? Is my beer ruined?

What yeast strain did you use? At a minimum, you will have a very slow fermentation seeing as (assuming you used an ale yeast) the yeast probably went dormant. Get it back up to temp and rouse the yeast by swirling the carboy for a few minutes to get the yeast in suspension and see where that gets you.

I doubt it is ruined; you may have to pitch more yeast, but that is nothing.

I'm sorry. I don't know what you mean by yeast stran. It is Safale 04 dry ale yeast. How will I know if I need to pitch more yeast?
