I've got some Musselmans cider atm that is destined for hard cider. That was 5.98/gallon. I like a cider instead of a juice for a base when I'm doing a spiced hard cider.

OK I think I can do this.

I've had hard cider and I love it, just never made it. I'm guessing White Labs has some sort of cider yeast?

Here is my problem, I'm definately wanting to do the juniper rye ale and I have a milk stout planned. I would like another ale (or cider) that could ferment at the ame temp since I can do 3 at a time in my fermentation cooler.

I think it is time for some serious research. Go to the nearest beer store and buy a ton of beer in styles you are not familiar with. Drink them all and decide what you like........

I just picked up two 1-gallon glass jugs of pasteurized, organic, preservative free, unfiltered apple juice from a local grocery store. Wanted the jugs for mead or a large starter - they were only $7.50 ea. Nothing like "buy carboy, get free juice."

Let us know how the juniper brew goes!
