I'm going to send a water sample to Ward Labs for an analysis. Should I give them a sample straight from the tap? or through my water filter?

I'm guessing I should send one from my filter, since that is the water i'll be brewing with.

Yes, send them the water you'll be brewing with!

If the filter only contains activated carbon, then it won't matter if the water is filtered. If the filter also contains de-ionizing resins like some Brita filters may have, then you may want to filter it if you intend to do that for all brewing.
