I have researched pricing on every Home Brewing product (supplies) that I need or use. My LHBS beats internet and mail orders almost every time. 8 mile drive, no sales tax (in NY state), no shipping $, well stocked, instant availability, grind grain free even when bought in bulk and brought back later, : "makes it the place to go".
By the way I am not the owner just a very happy customer. If you want this LHBS name and location, PM me. Hint "Western NY"

John

I don't want that LHBS location, I want them to relocate to my town. What I have available is a small corner of a food coop that keeps the more basic supplies and some kits on hand and they are still 30 minutes away. 3 hours away is a store that is split between home brewing, computers, and home meat curing. 5 hours away is a full brewing store.

I always buy specialty grains, yeast, and misc items at my LHBS.
