Got a question for you guys seeing as how you have kind of become my shop of choice. Do you guys carry chocolate malt individually? In search it comes up in several recipes but not by itself and I can't find it looking through the grains. I probably won't be placing next order for 3-4 weeks but just curious for when I do order.

Yes, we carry Briess Chocolate. I see that it is not up on the web site...I'll add it in the morning.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Cheers!

Brad

Hey Brad - just wanted to update you on the stir plate. I've used it a few times, and definitely like it. Good variable speed capability. However, I've come to realize that using a stir plate on one of the more flocculent strains (WY1968 or WLP002) is difficult! That stuff is so chunky, that any speed other than low just throws the bar to the side. I've tried with a few bar lengths. I'm going to try some of the barbell style stir bars to see how they do!

FWIW, this is exactly my experience with WLP002 and making a starter. I have a 2" bar and it kept getting tossed. I finally settled on letting it stir slowly and forgoing the vortex. I think the answer might be to use a smaller stir bar at higher speeds to avoid the chunks from tossing the bar.

Hey Brad,

Just wanted to give you a quick thanks for the ultra fast shipping on my first order with you. Saw a brief blurb on a Homeberw Finds email about Grain to Glass and decided to order up a pound of the Citra you had at a great price. Even with shipping costs it was an outstanding value and I got the package in something like two days. Very fast Service.

Thanks! I will keep an eye out on your sight for future purchases I can't get at my LHBS.

Just placed by first order with G2G. Good prices and a nice selection. Hoping that he gets some Galaxy in before my order gets shipped...

Thanks for the response! It seems like I have been away from HBT for a loooong time. I have had a similar experience with mine. I'm usually around 12 to 1 o'clock on the dial and get a nice vortex without throwing the bar.

Cheers!

Brad
