Default conditioning

I was wondering instead of sugar conditioning the beer. Could I use use honey?

Honey is a notoriously slow fermenting sugar. The attenuation is also an issue. Corn sugar is as simple as it gets and will yield predictable results.

You can prime a beer with ANY fermentable. I give detailed info on priming with alternative primers including fruit juice (including a link to a podcast on that subject,) maple syrup, honey, and other sugars in my bottling stickey- Scroll to the lower half of this post.

Thanks a lot revvy, I ended up doing it anyway a week ago, since I didn't have sugar and it was a left over batch of a friend who didn't want it. I've heard dextrose is an excellent one. Any feedback on the dextrose?

Dextrose = corn sugar = priming sugar. Same thing.

I use table sugar.

Works fine for me, and its always in the house.
