Anyone have any tips to get the yeast out of a conical fermenter easier? I have a 8 gal. conical and I opened the valve and nothing came out.... Should I restir the yeast to loosen the bed up? Or should I have drained off a little bit at a time each week. This beer has been fermenting for 3 weeks @58 Deg.

The yeast flocculates into a tight packing and the longer it sets the more solid it gets (to an extent). So the yeast probably needs a good stirring to pour out the the beer still in the conical? I would do it like a starter and decant, stir, pour. Drain off the beer, stir the sediment, wash it, then use the cleaned yeast

Don't wait so long to harvest. Drain some off sooner and you should be fine that is what I do.
Next:Smoked Pilsner.
Primary:Belgian Red, American Stout w/Roeselare
