Recipe Type: All Grain
Yeast: US-05
Yeast Starter: NO
Batch Size (Gallons): 5.5
Original Gravity: 1.069
Final Gravity: 1.014
IBU: 44.7
Boiling Time (Minutes): 60
Color: 12.4
Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 14
Secondary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): 7
Tasting Notes: a hybrid between an Oktoberfest and an IPA

This is my house Oktoberfest recipe modified with Citra hops and Sugar added to get all numbers into IPA territory. Bitterness is noticeable but balanced and the strong malt precense and tropical Citra hops meld together wonderfully.

I have brewed this several times and its always very well received. It taste like both a traditional Oktoberfest and a malty IPA, and taste better than most of the store bought IPAs I have had. I even had a friend describe it as "heaven in a glass"
