If I owned any farmland I would be buying massive amounts of rhizomes and quitting my awful job. I would study making custom hop varieties. I would take free beer from the local brewers as partial payment. I would also look into malting (more as a hobby than business though).

Actually if people don't expand things could get ugly again.. especially with the weird weather lately.

I have access to acreage, where do we get the rhizomes?

They are sold in the spring, usually about April. You can get them many places.

Many of us on the forum have traded them in the "hops growing" area of the forum. I gave away quite a few last year from cascade, hallertauer, and (I think) chinook.
