Turkeys were on sale for $4.88 so naturally I bought 6. We ground 2 and smoked 4 plus the wings of the other two birds. I couldn't find an answer to how many would fit on the 22.5 WSM before trying, so hopefully someone can use this as a reference for the size of this smoker if they are thinking of trying something similar.

The birds are between 14 - 15 lbs. We used 4 different rubs and methods as a test smoke for thanksgiving. Shredded everything and vacuum-sealed for sandwiches. Made a smoked gumbo with the carcasses which was bomb too.
