Greene King's "The Beer to Dine For." Evidently it is a re-branding of Greene King Hop as a beer meant to be paired with food. It has to be the most tasteless and boring beer I've ever tasted. But Light is even more "complex" than this colored water. I'm not going to waste precious liver cells on this crap.So down the dumpster it goes.

I'm going to keep the bottle for meads though.

There's a review that aptly describes this wretched thing here.

Revvy's one of the cool reverends. He has a Harley and a t-shirt that says on the back "If you can read this, the bitch was Raptured. - Madman

I gotta tell ya, just between us girls, that Revvy is HOT. Very tall, gorgeous grey hair and a terrific smile. He's very good looking in person, with a charismatic personality... he drives like a ****ing maniac! - YooperBrew

This thread caught my eye, too.

One of the first threads I read on HBT was the "never dump your beer" one, so I had to look.

have had a bottle of the Greene King IPA and wasn't overly impressed. Not bad but just nothing special. Greene King are the owners of Morland brewery, Old speckled hen, old crafty hen and old golden hen, being their signature brews, and, thankfully, there seems to be quite a difference between the Morland and GK products,,,,,,,,,,here's hoping it remains that way

I was thinking the same thing. Like WOW! Did somebody dump a half gallon of bleach in it? Cause of course everybody knows if it was only a couple ounces, it would condition out...

I think the title caught everybody's attention.
Dumping a bottle of commercial beer is perfectly understandable. I've had a couple that weren't worth dirtying my tongue.
In fact after going to a rogue brew pub for the second time last night, I believe you are just as likely to get a wild bad idea brew in a night of sampling as something really good from them.
Let's see if I keep this updated!

On tap
Black Butte clone

In secondary
Pumpkin ale

In primary
Honey wit

Up next.. Firestone Union Jack clone

I'll throw it out there...the only beer I've ever dumped was Rogue Voodoo Maple Bacon...
Packaged: Fruitcake Old Ale
Primary: 15 Min Pale Ale (Waimea hops), Unoriginal clone (hoppy session mead)
Secondary: Why do I keep this line here...?
Bulk Aging: Simple Cyser '15, Cocobochet, Wild Cider (2014 & 2015)
Planned: So many ideas, not enough time to brew them....

After traveling around the UK for 6 weeks and returning to Canada I learned that Real ale just can't be captured in a bottle or can.... It has to be pulled from a cask or gravity fed.
Fermenter 1 - Vienna /Saaz SMaSH
Fermenter 2 - Dry as a bone
Drinking - various craft brews, Tiny Bottom PA
Beer styles I'm trying to nail down: APA, Porter, Mild, Amber, & Something Yellow and Fizzy.

Heh, I fell for it, too. I saw Revvy as the author of a dump thread, and was expecting radioactive byproducts in the beer, or animal feces, or racking onto undiluted iodine... or something.

For the record - that bottle LOOKS disgusting.
