Looking to put this in my 7cb ft freezer. As you can see it has a plug preinstalled.

http://www.amazon.com/Mechatronics-6...%22+Power+Cord

My questions is, would you be worried about any type of fire hazard with this ? I am not an electrical guru and just want to make sure I am ok on this? as there can be some moisture in my freezer even tho I do have the evadry dehumidifier in..

thanks for any input

Mike

Why would you use a $17 115 VAC fan in those conditions when you can use a $2-$3 12 VDC fan and not worry about it. Just about any 12 VDC used CPU/PC fan will move 10 cu ft, you can usually get them free from just about anybody that uses a computer (I've got 3-4 at least).

The 12 VDC power supplys are pretty cheap if you don't already have one in your home; just about any 9-12 VDC supply will work. These are known as "wall worts".

Here's an example of cheap DC fans: http://www.surpluscenter.com/sort.as...10000&PageNo=1

Good luck.

I don't see a problem using a 110V fan in the keezer (properly mounted away from liquids of course). All the big kegerator companies use them in the Beverage Air, Superior, True, etc. products.

It doesn't say if it's a constant duty cycle (should be, it's made for cooling home stereo systems, etc). That would be the only thing I would be hesitant about... make sure it's rated constant duty.

Rated to run all the time. Some small motors are rated for intermittent use, others for constant.
