My mead is a year old today. I tried it and it has a wonderful cinnamon/orange smell, has an amazing clear colour, tastes first. The after taste tastes like yeast... not a tolerable flavour at all. Can this be saved? What can I do to remove the yeast after flavour?

What strain of yeast did you use? How old is the mead?

Do you think it might have suffered autolysis? I've heard that this causes yeasty/vitamin B/Marmite flavors.
