so i started a 28 cab sauv kit this week and it's going fine. I've done these before with good results, but id like to oak this one and i was wondering what suggestions people had. tyoe of oak chips, amount, time on oak, etc.
I would appreciate anyone's thoughts about adding additional oak beyond what was provided. I just started a Chilean Merlot kit that came with two bags of oak powder. While I will taste it periodically, I'm thinking about adding additional cubes later on during bulk aging.
