I have just racked some wine and refitted the airlock. It is the 4th racking so fermentation has stopped. I am just looking at it and every few minutes an air bubble is released the wrong way, as in into the side exposed to the wine. Why is this? Is it just readjusting?

That happens when the temperature of the wine is lowering, so maybe it's been put in a cooler place?
Ah yes thanks that explains it. I had washed out the receiving demijohn with boiling water, which likely raised the temperature of the wine siphoned into it. It then cooled naturally.
