I made an orange mead and now that it is slowing down I would like to rack it onto 2# of blackberries. But I only have gallon jugs. Can I just rack as much as will fit and then put what's left in the fridge, to stop ferment and keep it good? I would then blend the refrigerated mead back into the batch after the mead has sat on the berries long enough.
Any comments/advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
