Default munich LME

A neighbor gave me a 3.3 lb jug of Munich malt LME, he claimed that it clouds his beer so he didn't use it anymore. Is this true?

How old is it? I've used Munich LME on lagers that came out crystal clear.

Default munich

It is fresh. He tells me that munich has some unfermentables that make it cloudy.
