Default blow off yeast starter, losing yeast?

made starter for brewday yesterday, something came up and i now have to wait 3 days to brew...so i plan on decanting the starter. noticed last night (when i should have pitched the starter) that the starter is blowing off pretty bad and im losing a good amount of yeast. anything i can do, should i still just pitch in 3 days after decanting or should i make a new starter?

I wouldn't worry. It should be fine. You might want to decant and add some more wort to it.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it at all. To answer your question: adding more wort means that you boil up some additional DME, allow to cool and add to the existing starter. This would be the same process used if you needed to step up a starter. It is a good idea to cold crash and decant prior to a step up
