Default beer porn catalogs

is anybody else excited when they come home from work and have a northern brewer catalog (or any number of the others) in your mailbox.. i received one this week and i have a handful of the pages dogeared and made sure to point out to my wife and to let her family know things that i "need" to take my beer to the next level

~ A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure.

Not really, but that's because it's nearly the same darn thing every time simply with a different cover. Not like there are new products constantly being released. They do obviously get new stuff here and there, like new types of LME (though I don't do extract anymore), new kits, new decorative things like their beer stickers and such. But overall the new additions aren't too frequent and I honestly have everything I need already. My excitement comes from planning a recipe and ordering the ingredients

And making it/drinking it of course!

Not so much anymore.....It seems like they (Northern Brewer, More Beer, Williams, Midwest, etc...) all pretty much carry all the same things. Even though MoreBeer wins for the best selection of advanced brewing supplies in their catalog. The prize is that it gets to stay right next to the john as reading material.

I had gotten my first one in the mail about a month ago and read it cover to cover at least twice the first night I had it. I made the mistake of leaving it out on our ottoman overnight, and our dog absolutely shredded it. I still haven't forgiven him for that!

As much of an Internet-based guy as I am, I love a good paper catalog. I got a Midwest brewing supply one in the mail this week... And I know they carry basically the same stuff as NB, but the pictures are all different

I stare at them with desire on my work breaks sometimes. And daydream about making beer. And think how nice it would be to have those things I dont yet. Ha. As much money as I spent on craft beer research,I coulda had some nice stuff by now.
