Good to know, the new ones are just copper plated.
Anyway, the copper plating did the trick so it doesn't take much.

Take a look here.

1/2" copper plumbing pipe/tube cut it into 1/2" lengths would be my choice if I thought I needed to add copper to the boiler or fermenter.
