Moisture in Refractometer!

So it looks like some water made it into my refractometer. I can barely read it at this point and upon closer examination I see some "fog" on the inside glass.

Has this happened to anyone else? Can I open it up and dry it out?
 
try dropping it in a tupperware full of rice for a couple weeks
 
About 3 days should suffice in an air-tight container fully covered with rice. I
