Default Bubbles in my fermenter

I know that visible signs of fermentation are not reliable but I was just wondering, is it ok if my airlock only bubbled for 24 hrs ? I have a bucket fermenter so I can't see what's going on in there. It's only been fermenting for less than a week so I'm hesitant to open the top just yet to take a gravity reading.

Sounds like everything is fine. Take your gravity readings when you feel comfortable and stop worrying.

Ale yeasts are very fast if the temperature is near the top of their range. Don't worry.
