Default Cider after taste

I have 2 different types of cider bottled for months and both have a manky after taste any ideas why?

"manky"? I don't know what that means.

Not so good in other words its fizzy clear and looks the part just has a funny after taste! I only have one primary vessel and use it for lager as well! But always sterilise well could this be the problem ?

how many months is "months" my first batch I tasted after 3 months. it was awful. after a year, it was much better.

at first, it was a very strong alcohol flavor, with very little apple flavor. but the harshness has mellowed and it's much smoother now.
