Default Brew Stand Propane Manifold Design

I'm in the design process for my brew stand and I'd like to use the following Banjo burners:

http://www.northernbrewer.com/shop/b...rner-only.html

and it looks like I will need this regulator (I'll be using a 20lb propane tank):

http://www.northernbrewer.com/shop/b...jo-burner.html

I only plan to have 2 burners to begin with and will add a third if I ever switch from mashing in a cooler to a recirculating fired mash tun.

and it looks like most people use this valve or something like it:

http://morebeer.com/view_product/172...ll_Valve_-_Gas

and black iron pipe (1/2" ?)

Can that valve be used to regulate the flame on the burners or is it just an on/off valve? I would prefer to be able to regulate the burners separately, but I will probably never actually use both at the same time.

Should I be ok with the orifice that comes in those burners? Seems like some people are modifying them (why?).

Is this considered a low pressure, high pressure, low BTU, or super mega flames of death gas system?

Is the hardware to connect the regulator and burners to the iron pipe readily available at HomeDepot/Lowes?

Thanks for any input and/or pics. This seems like it should be a pretty simple thing but I want to do it correctly.

I have the same burners. i used the 0-30 adjustable high pressure regulator, http://www.bayouclassicdepot.com/785..._regulator.htm . i also used bayou needle valves at the orfice to control the flame, http://www.bayouclassicdepot.com/nv1...urner_part.htm . black pipe from lowes. had a local propane (Ameriagas) make some custom hoses for me, four hoses for $20.

I am building a stand as well and was wondering if I buy those ball valves (but from HD), can I just use those to control flow?

The one thing I noticed that most don't seem to have is FROM the manifold TO the burner.

I went to hoseman.com and created a hose that's 3/8" 45deg SAE Female and 1/2" MPTE with 3/8" hose at 3' - was quoted about $25 each. . . I believe that's the correct hose. I haven't actually purchased them yet (something came up) but I believe they're the right one. . .
