Default What's your favorite online store for beer kits?

I've used both MoreBeer.com and NorthernBrewers.com, and like them both. NorthernBrewer.com has, IMHO, a much better web site - in particular all their kits are rated by actual customers, so you can get a good idea of what the kit is actually like. BUT - MoreBeer.com offers free shipping, and times are tight....

What's your favorite online store, and why?

Homebrewstuff.com you can order specialty grains by the ounce. Fast shipping and flat rate shipping. I use to use northern but hated waiting so long for supplies.

Austinhomebrew.com. They have hundreds and hundreds to choose from, made up fresh when you order them. You can buy "clone" kits, certain recipe styles, and so on. I've done quite a few of their kits, and would highly recommend them.

With so many local stores nearby, I only order specialty items online anymore (or if I know I won't be in the area of a LHBS and want supplies quick). Northern Brewer and Midwest Supplies are my favorite, as they deliver quickly to my area.

I've been quite happy with NB's kits, and would normally oder them from them a few at a time rather than pick up the ingredients from my local... Watch their shipping rates though - 7.99 flat rate is gone

I've also really liked morebeer's and Austin Homebrew Supply's kits as well, and would order from either.

With cooper's stuff,I use amazon.com & makebeer.net. Makebeer's are fresher than amazon, but amazon is pretty quick. I also love midwest, since they have fresh, high quality ingredients & have really fast Fed-Ex home delivery. If they tell me 5 days,it's usually 2-4 days. And stuff gets here in perfect condition.

Adventures in Homebrewing. I ordered from them and it was at my house the next day. Of course I'm in Michigan which they are too. But I'm pretty stoked to get stuff so fast.

A quick note on AHS - I just got my order. I like the way they were packaged, each set of components in it's own sealed plastic bag. No risk whatsoever of spills. Now to brew their Stone Pale Ale clone this weekend ...

Have to cast my vote for Midwest. Good customer service, wide variety of kits, reasonable prices, and clear directions.
