Made a yeast starter last night and wokeup this morning and it threw the stir bar, thank god or it would have foamed over, anyone see this? It's almost like its carbonated.

Yep....happens all the time. Especially with WLP001 for me. Hell, I use 5000ml flasks and still get blow out sometimes.

Yep, lively yeast are a good problem to have.
I use the foam stoppers and they are awesome at keeping the foam volcano from erupting if I try and build a starter that's just a bit too big...
