Well it's true a mortar and pestle is an excellent tool. It requires moving to a separate vessel for serving, thus losing some precious fluids. I think it is best to keep a dedicated muddler just for the turtles. Then the precious juices seep into the wood and make every beverage after the first even more delicious.

Unless you have a dark crystal, of course. Nothing can extract precious living essence like a dark crystal.

Dark Crystals are so old fashioned. Step into the 15th century already, get yourself a Particle Accelerator and filter with a Black Mirror.
