So we brewed a Citra Pale Ale and it just so happened that it was our first beer to keg. We poured- literally 2 oz and it just stopped....... As if there was no beer to be had. We're wondering if something is clogged (this brew is rather chunky).. Or if there is something else
Going on?
We kegged at 30psi for 24 hours and then moved down to 12. It was about 4 hours after turning it down that we "sampled". Should we cut the pick up line in the keg or what?

Probably some hop particles clogging the line. The most likely spot for this to happen is the poppet. Cutting the diptube shorter probably won't help things any. Disconnect the gas, vent the pressure, pull the liquid QD off, and remove the post to have a look at the poppet. You might also pull the diptube out to make sure it's not clogged too since the post will already be off. Remove any clogs and try again. If it clogs up right away again, you might consider carefully racking it to another keg with a paint strainer bag or nylon over the end of the racking cane to filter out the large debris.

For future reference, you really need to make sure most of the large debris is filtered out before kegging.

Probably a dumb question, but did you make sure the little in-line valve near the gauge was turned back on allowing gas to flow again after you adjusted the pressure? I've done that and poured a glass and only a few ounces came out because there wasn't any gas flowing into the keg. It was confusing for a minute because the gauge still showed 12psi
