Tasting Notes: Think your basic Oktober...but kick it in the teeth with some Rye goodness

Code:
Grain Bill 25 lbs
15 lbs Vienna malt 60%
 4 lbs Rye malt 16%
 4 lbs Munich Malt 16%
 1 lbs Caramunich Malt 4%
 1 lbs Caramel 80L 4%

Hops
Hallertauer Hersbrucker[4.00%] 2 oz 30m
Tetnang[4.50%] 2 oz 40m

I took Yooper's base brew and added my favorite flavor RYE!

I've made this about 8 times now but only now transfering my recipies off the index cards to Beersmith (and HBT!)

I really don't alter the bill much each time but I'd welcome any ideas to vary it.

Beersmith file attached.

I love Rye and this is taunting me. I can't say that I've ever had a lager with Rye though and so I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how this would taste.

If you're looking for a commercial example, try Great Divide "Hoss" if it's available in your area. It's actually a rye Oktoberfest.
