If you have a lot of trub in the bottles,you def need to let it settle out clear or slightly misty before bottling. I have spigots on my fermenters,but high enough where I can yilt it slightly to get all but the last couple TBSP out with little or no trub. I only get a little dusting on the bottom of the bottles that way. And at least a week fridge time to clear any chill haze. That little bit of trub also compacts on the bottom so nearly all the beer can be poured without it getting into the glass.
