im looking to build a wood covered mash tun from a 50 liter keg i have. i wont be direct firing the tun, and was wondering if i would be able to insulate it between the outside of the keg, and the wooden boards i would use, so that i could maintain my mash temps.

anyone seen anything like that before, or better yet done this before?

Here's a pic of John Labatt's original one in his first Brewery in London Ontario.

From my photo walkthrough of it.
