I live in the Yakima valley and hop harvest has started. Its smells like mowed grass and hops outside from all the hop trucks driving by.

To add to it I found Lagunitas hop stoopid for the first time and tried a bottle last night. I think there was more hops in that one 22oz. Bottle then there was in my last 4 batches of beer combined.

Now, you just need to find a way to bottle the aroma at your house. Bet you could make a fortune.

Hop stoopid has very little hops...it's mostly(or all) hop extract. Jealous of your smell

OK, I'll bite. Hop extract = hops. I understand it's the resin/oils and not the hops themselves...but come on.

The yakima chief plant where most of the co2 extract is done is just down the road from me.

It may be extract but you get my point. That's its measured at 102 ibu's and calculates at something like 350 ibu's is proof is a hop head life blood.

I, for the most part, am not a hop head. I will drink an ipa or double but it normally isn't my fisrt choice.

Regardless I do enjoy the smell.

That sweet, lupulin smell. Nothing else in the world smells like that. It smells like...victory!

I'm with you. I love smelling German and New Zealand varieties particularly.
