Some freeze and scoop........they place it in the freezer and scoop off the ice crystals as they form.

I placed a 1/2 gallon plastic apple juice bottle in the freezer, left it for a couple of days. To thaw I simply placed upside down over the quart jar. When it was full I placed over the other jar. It is still aging in the pantry on some oak cubes.

I have 8 carboys, 8 cornies, 5-1 gal jugs, 200 wine bottles, 10 cases of beer bottles and a nice assortment of flip tops....My goal is to keep them at least 50% occupied
