Default Brooklyn brewshop kit bottling question

I have a Brooklyn brewshop 1gal kit. My beer has been in the fermenter for almost three weeks now. I may go ahead and bottle today or tomorrow. When I do, should I rack the beer out of the fermenter into something else (sanitized of course) before racking into bottles? There is a decent layer of grub at the bottom of the fermenter. Thanks!

I started out with this same kit last year. When bottling, I siphoned into a large pot to mix the sugar or honey. And siphoned from the pot to the bottles. Hope it turns out well.

also do yourself a favor and get a bottling wand from your LHBS. they are cheap.

I just bottled my BBS beer last night. Summer Wheat, racked into a sterile pot with honey/water then bottled. using the supplied rack and tube was a MAJOR pain!! went and got an auto siphon ... SOOOOOOO much easier!!
