Wow - that is a great thread.
I am REALLY looking forward to Palmers book on brewing water, because there is so much material. One can read threads here and there, but its hard to learn about a complex subject that way. Sort of like playing 20 questions.

I did, they didn't tell me much at all and nothing about how to use it for brewing.
